The NADJ North East & Cumbria branch held their first meeting of 2012 at Darlington Rugby Football Club on Tuesday 10th January 2012. It was an extremely well attended meeting with DJs and visitors from many of the surrounding counties - including Lincolnshire!
The annual branch Committee elections took place and the new officers were elected as follows: - Chris Dye - Branch Chairman
- Alan Rees - Branch Secretary
- Paul Peart - Branch Treasurer
The counting of the votes was overseen by Simon Holdford who is independent of the NADJ and the North East & Cumbria Branch. The raffle prizes were kindly donated by Mike Stead at Phase One in Darlington and the refreshments were generously donated by Julie Ferry. Thank you to all the attendees. This month we are proud to announce our visit from the Brooke speakers and Lanta lighting roadshow, on their UK tour of NADJ branches!
Lighting including lasers and LED's - sound systems passive and active - microphones and much more.
A fantastic supplier product demonstration that is not to be missed, with many bargain deals nicely in time for xmas parties available through your local retailer. We will also have a selection from our normal items such as :- - Meet and greet from 7pm (don't be late!)

Some of our North East NADJ members are holding a Very casual get together at Taybarns in Newcastle. It's a basic meet, eat and drink occasion and it is open to ALL DJs. The food in Taybarns is great value and you can eat as much as you like - costs just over a tenner for as much food and soft drink as you want. It will be a very casual affair for members and non-members alike, basically a chance to have a relaxed chat and with fellow DJs from across the North East. It will be great to see new and old faces alike and don't worry, John Forbes will not be giving one of his sermons [I could have taken that bit out for being so cheeky, but decided to leave it in - John Forbes]. |

NADJ NE & Cumbria Branch Meeting July 2011 Date: Tuesday 12th July 2011 Start Time: 7pm Venue: The Coachman Hotel 135 Victoria Road Darlington DL1 5JJ Building on May's successful meeting there are some interesting presentations and demonstrations planned for July. The new venue proved to be ideal last month allowing us to showcase various DJ products, as well as the brilliant presentation from Richard Lee at Mastermix. Interest in the retailer tables is looking good so there will no doubt be some juicy offers available during the break and networking periods.
