 The crew up the NADJ North East & Cumbria branch would like to invite us to a social event they've got planned for the evening of Tuesday 12th June 2012 (7pm start). This will not be a branch meeting, but it will be a chance to socialise and network with your fellow DJs. If you want to take your partner to do a bit of shopping in the Metro Centre before the gathering, you have a great excuse to join the guys in the North East. Here's what the NE&C team had to say following their meeting in Darlington last night: Although the meeting last night is still in our heads, just an early announcement of a social evening we have planned for Tuesday 12th June at Taybarns in Gateshead (next to the metro centre). http://www.taybarns.com for more details and directions. It costs just over a tenner for all you can eat and unlimited soft drinks, there is also a bar if you are lucky enough to have a driver for the evening. We will be there from about 7 (at the back of the room as you enter) and will be there till we get kicked out so if you are arriving late it is no problem. We are holding this in the North of the Region to give members who usually have a long distance to travel the opportunity to attend something a bit closer to home, so hope those members support this event. Tuesday 8th May 2012 @ Darlington Football and Rugby Club, Blackwell Meadows, Grange Road, Darlington, DL1 5NR - 7pm start! Outlined is the guideline agenda for the next NE and Cumbria NADJ meeting. It promises to be another great one as we build on the very successful meeting last month: - Smoke / Haze machine demonstrations and talks – We are inviting any member, or attendee, to bring along their smoke or haze machine to assist in this demo. Although it will be slightly a crude demonstration due to trying to empty the room of smoke after each demo, we hope to gain more knowledge and awareness of these machines through the people out there who actually use them.
- Laserworld – Dennis Phoenix from Laserworld is working with our supporting retailer, Phase One, to provide a demonstration of the offerings from Laserworld. The two are working together and even we have been kept in the dark of what to expect – will not be disappointed though.

The NADJ North East & Cumbria branch held their first meeting of 2012 at Darlington Rugby Football Club on Tuesday 10th January 2012. It was an extremely well attended meeting with DJs and visitors from many of the surrounding counties - including Lincolnshire!
The annual branch Committee elections took place and the new officers were elected as follows: - Chris Dye - Branch Chairman
- Alan Rees - Branch Secretary
- Paul Peart - Branch Treasurer
The counting of the votes was overseen by Simon Holdford who is independent of the NADJ and the North East & Cumbria Branch. |
