Happy New Year! I hope your wallets are full and glasses empty! The next meeting of the NADJ North West branch will be held on Tuesday 31st January 2012 at Upton by Chester British Legion,Heath Road, Chester, CH2 1HX. DJs are asked to be there before the 7.30pm start, so that there are no delays. Ideas or thoughts for this months meeting? I thought we might get some discussion on what we all did in December: - Were bookings up or down in number?
- What Christmas tunes worked for you and we could put together a favourite xmas song list to try out in 2012
- Preparing for the New Year whilst it is fresh in your mind
- New Years Eve thoughts and a lookback at 2011
- Looking forward we have Mobile Beat in Las Vegas in February
- Branch elections and the National AGM later in the year
- Local wedding fayres and how we are going to take forward the branches idea of promoting the NADJ at local venues we play at
- Look back on how we dealt with customers and staff at our Xmas gigs - is there anything we could do to improve.

The next meeting of the NADJ North West branch will be held on Tuesday 29th November 2011 at Upton by Chester British Legion,Heath Road, Chester, CH2 1HX. Richard Lee, Mastermix Label Manager, will be heading over to tell us all about living in France and offering the attendees some bargains for there Christmas parties. There will be a little bit of housekeeping taking place at the next meeting, don't worry though, it shouldn't take too much time. A nomination was put forward to take over the role of branch Chairman and all attendees will be asked if they agree to the nomination. If there are no objections or no further nominations, the new Chairman will be put in place at the gathering. |

The next North West Branch Meeting of the NADJ takes place on Tuesday 27th September 2011 at Upton by Chester British Legion, Heath Road, Upton by Chester, CH2 1HX and we will be asking the question: Are you ready for BPM? A new local member will be giving us information and wants members to join in on the discussion "How do you benefit from being a member." Come on down and join in the active debate. Come along and join in with us we really would like to see you. Other members will be discussing what they do behind the scenes. Leslie Ball will conduct a presentation on advertising and he'll be showing how he promotes his business. He will ask for constructive feedback from the attendees and he will also ask if the DJs are willing to bring in their own advertising material. This is not an exercise to criticise the promotional material, it's an opportunity for improvement. |

PLEASE NOTE: New Venue For The NADJ North West August 2011 Meeting: Cheshire County Sports Club (near the A41) [Postcode: CH2 1PR] Tuesday 30th August 2011 7.30pm Start This months meeting is going to give you a chance to compare your speakers to everybody else's. The meeting will be held at a venue were we can make some NOISE. Cheshire County Sports Club on the A41. Please let me know: - If you can attend
- What speakers you have
- Connections (Jack, Speakon, XLR and if you need power for active speakers)
All those DJs participating should bring their speakers and stands. This will be a great opportunity to compare brands and it is not a how loud can you go contest! |
The next North West Branch Meeting of the NADJ takes place on Tuesday 26th July 2011 at Upton by Chester British Legion, Heath Road, Upton by Chester, CH2 1HX. Peter Lockwood will be visiting the North West branch to bring his own feature. A new local member will be giving us information and wants members to join in on the discussion "Do you use contracts?" If you do,could you bring a copy of yours with you and join in the active debate. Regular members have requested a Loudspeaker review night and this has been arranged for our AUGUST meeting which will be held at a different venue ie CHESHIRE COUNTY SPORTS CLUB. There will also be presentations from members on what equipment they started our with. Can you remember that far back? This should be interesting - reviving names like Roger Squires, Dave Simms, SAI (Standish), Discosound, FAL, etc. |
