South West
NADJ South West Branch Closed

It is with regret that the NADJ Committe has to announce that the South West branch has closed.  No candidates came forward to take up the positions of branch Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer at the meeting on the 28th November 2011.

The nearest NADJ branches to DJs in the South West are either the gatherings:

If you would like to ask any questions about this or any other NADJ branch, please contact Peter Lockwood by e-mail: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Thank you to those NADJ members who supported the branch.

NADJ South West - Monday 1st August 2011

NADJ South West

Monday 1st August 2011

Watchfield Inn, Watchfield, Somerset, TA9 4RD.

Roger opened the evening by thanking everyone for attending and informing guests that we run the meeting as NADJ South West and the Somerset Supper Club. Members and non-members of NADJ are welcome to attend.

The minutes of the last meeting were agreed and followed by an introduction round where guests explained who they were and what sort of work they were looking for.

Apologies were received from Frank Jolly, Dave Sims, Mathew Major, Joe Tong, Trevor Brooks, Darren Lee-Roberts, and Andy Harris.

John from Oasis was introduced and he mentioned that a number of the Lantra products from our last meeting could be found online at the same or lesser prices than was quoted in our last meeting. The guests and John from Oasis were under the impression that the prices were a special for our members and for a limited time only, not prices that were readily available online. John will investigate this on the group's behalf.

NADJ South West Meeting, Monday 11 July 2011
by Graham Watts

The last meeting on 11th July at the Watchfield Inn was a sensation and very well attended.

First up to present was Pete Maddison and crew who wheeled in case after case of equipment. When the presentation was under way all I can say is it was an illuminating display of lasers, uplighters and other lighting you really need to see. If that wasn't enough there were speakers designed to be passive or active. If you invite Pete to your meeting, which I personally would recommend, be prepared to be dazzled! Prices quoted were very, very good.

I presented 'The Lighter Side of DJing' and announced my retirement from the mobile scene but will continue to act as a mentor to other DJ's who ask and will be an active member of NADJ South West.
