Starting A Branch

NADJ members wishing to start a branch in their area should contact the NADJ Branch Development Officer, Steve Honeyball for help in setting up regular DJ meetings in your area.  You can contact Steve by e-mail : This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.   Steve is a long-term member of the National Association of Disc Jockeys as Vice Chairman of our NADJ London branch.  He has soaked up the advice and guidance of fellow NADJ members and he's a very prominent and respected DJ in the London area.

On a national level, Steve took up the role as our Branch Development Officer as a co-opted position on the NEC in recognition of his years of service developing and growing our branches as a volunteer.  We're not going to make out that setting up and maintaining a branch is an easy task, but we have the experience to guide you along the way because a new branch is not set up overnight.

Rather than jump in with a full-blown meeting with similar content to what you would find at our other branches, we'd advise you to hold some informal meetings with your fellow professional DJs.  That will allow you to find the key people to take things forward.  Examples include having a social gathering to get to know your fellow members better and to find out what people want from a branch.  That's stage one of the process and we always advise our members to take things slowly at first and have a goal of opening a new branch.

Please remember that the NADJ can offer a wealth of advice and information on how to make the branch meetings a success, but all members are advised to link up with their colleagues to spread the workload and spread the word.  If you feel that you are up to the task of starting a branch, please get in touch with Steve: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
