A Message from your new National Chairman - Pete Hawkins

Hi all,

I'd like to say Thank You all for your lovely messages about my new role within the association as National Chairman and I would like to congratulate Fabio Capozzi & Brian Jones on their continued work within their roles as National Secretary and National Treasurer. I would personally like to thank the exiting chairman Alan Marshall for all the hard work he has put in over the last two years.

Firstly I would like to apologise on the delay of this announcement due to us having a very busy stand at BPM. Thank you to all the members who visited us and everyone who took a shift on the stand. It was great to see so many at the National AGM of which we had an increase in numbers. For those who had other commitments and couldn't attend the show I look forward to seeing you all at your branches over the coming year.

I'd like to let you know of a few changes that was anounced during my welcome speech, I felt that at branch level we needed the support so I suggested to add some co-opted members and these were:

Marketing & P.R - Tony Winyard
Education & Training - Alan Marshall
Events & Branch Development - Steven Honeyball
Merchandise Officer - Sue Crean
Web & Comms - Paul Arnett

If you have any questions, please do get in touch, I'm always at the end of the phone, on social media or email - This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

All the best your Chairman,

Pete Hawkins

Changes To The Constitution Of The National Association Of Disc Jockeys (NADJ)
Changes To The Constitution Of The National Association Of Disc Jockeys (NADJ)
All Associations are bound by rules that are outlined in their Constitution.  As organisations like the National Association of Disc Jockeys (NADJ) evolve or there are changes to working practices, such as by law, it is necessary to keep on top of those developments by amending our Constitution.

The current National Executive Committee (NEC), have highlighted some areas in which they feel the Constitution requires some amendments, primarily to continue the on-going development of the Association and to future-proof the NADJ as we move forward.

The NEC feel that the changes will be instrumental in the following ways:
  • To develop the association ensuring we remain relevant.
  • To communicate our objectives in clear and modern language.
  • To be more transparent to our membership.
  • To grow the membership by expanding our marketplace.
  • To ensure we are recognised as leaders in our industry.

The NADJ Committee also feels that there are some minor changes that would help clarify some of the aspects of the organisation and its running.  The Constitution of the National Association of Disc Jockeys was last amended and approved in accordance with the rules of the Constitution at an Extraordinary General Meeting of the NADJ on Sunday 26th April 2015.  It was ratified and signed by Alan Marshall and Fabio Capozzi. The proposals were put forward at the NADJ EGM on Monday 22nd September 2017 at the London Branch meetinginChiswick, London.

NADJ Scholarship 2016
The NADJ Scholarship 2015 Programme from the National Association of Disc Jockeys (NADJ)
The National Association of Disc Jockeys (NADJ) once again has put together a unique opportunity for one of our Full Members to take part in a wide selection of educational and training opportunities.  This package will draw upon the resources of well-known and respected industry representatives, give access to a comprehensive DJ conference, gain VIP access to an industry event and we hope it will open up a world of opportunities.
Through the NADJ Scholarship one of our DJs will have access to a wealth of knowledge, experience, information and training that has never been put in one place before.
There is now a wide selection of opportunities for DJs to develop their business or hone their skills as a DJ, so the Association has put some of those training elements into one place.  We are again funding this unique scheme that is sure to have a positive impact for one lucky individual.
