PLASA Focus Glasgow Hailed A Success For The National Association of Disc Jockeys (NADJ)
PLASA Focus Glasgow Hailed A Success For The National Association of Disc Jockeys (NADJ)
The National Association of Disc Jockeys (NADJ), with the assistance of our representatives and members from our NADJ Scotland branch, exhibited at the inaugural PLASA Focus Glasgow at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) on Tuesday 2nd and Wednesday 3rd December 2014.  The NADJ Chairman, Alan Marshall, hailed the event a success for the Association.
He said: "This is the first time PLASA have ventured up to Scotland and it was my first time as a representative of the NADJ to head so far north.  The eight hours spent on trains getting to Glasgow was well worth it as I got to meet some of our Scottish members and also spread the word about what the Association is for and what we do.
"We never put pressure on DJs to join, they have to feel that becoming a member would be beneficial to them," added Alan.
The Association also received some welcome feedback from Rob Moore from Chauvet who complimented us on the first day for embracing the event and making DJs aware of the exhibition: "A great first day for the Chauvet Gig Bar. Thanks to NADJ for helping to create the buzz," said Rob.
Our Chairman added: "Our thanks to all the DJs, industry representatives, visitors and show organisers for making a success of the exhibition. The Association embraced this new venture and we hope that DJs and those who work in the sound and lighting industry took a similar approach.
"The NADJ Scotland team played a pivotal role in the organisation leading up to and during the running of our stand at PLASA Glasgow.  However, I would like to pay a special note of thanks to Christopher Matthews who is our NADJ Scotland branch Chairman.  He has looked after me throughout my time in Scotland and he has been the most hospitable host I have ever met.  He is a real credit to the NADJ and his branch," said Alan.
PLASA Focus Glasgow Hailed A Success For The National Association of Disc Jockeys (NADJ)  The Chairman also congratulated the organisers, exhibitors and visitors for making the two days a success.  We look forward to being a part of the next regional show and that comes in the form of PLASA Focus Leeds on the 12th and 13th May 2015 at the Royal Armouries.  We've posted a few pictures from the PLASA Focus Glasgow exhibition on the NADJ Facebook page and we've embedded it below:
