Christmas & New Year Arrangements
Christmas & New Year Arrangements
The team of volunteers who run the National Association of Disc Jockeys (NADJ) will be taking a couple of well earned short breaks from their duties over the festive period.  Not only are we all working DJs who, like you, find this time of year to be one of the busiest periods for our DJ businesses, but we would also like to treasure some time off.

Therefore, it is only fair that we have a break from our duties for the Association and our members.  Everyone deserves quality time off with their families over the Christmas and New Year period and that's why we are giving advanced notice of our holidays.

On Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day 2014 the team of volunteers at the NADJ will put down their tools and spend that time with our families and to recover from our workload in December.  New Year's Eve and New Year's Day will be our second phase of time off.  We hope that you will respect that we offer the highest level of service we can to our members throughout the year and that it is necessary for these short holidays.

During the named dates, there will be no processing of new or renewing members.  PAT test documents will not be checked and the telephone number for the Association (0800 468 1363) will be set to go to answerphone.  We know that many members have our personal mobile numbers and it's quite easy to find our business telephone numbers, but we hope you will respect that this is our time off.

All members of the Association get several e-mail reminders of their impending PAT and membership expiry dates and we hope that you will act on those reminders promptly, especially if one of those expiry dates lands on a day when we are taking a break from our duties.  Sadly, it's all to common for people (not just DJs) to leave things to the last minute and we see that every week with the influx of work, enquiries, renewals and new member applications that comes in on a Friday and Saturday every week.

In one of our newsletters we mentioned a well known phrase and would like to repeat the sage advice: "Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine."

So, with all of that out in the open, may we take this opportunity to wish all of our members a fantastic Christmas and a very happy and prosperous New Year!
