Meet the Team
The Secretary is responsible for the efficient administration of NADJ interests with regard to ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and for ensuring decisions of the National Executive Committee (NEC) are implemented. As the primary source of advice on the conduct of Association business spanning from advice on initiatives, through accounting advice on financial reports, to the development of strategy and corporate planning.
The role of the Chairman is to lead and manage the business of the Association to provide direction and focus, while ensuring there is a clear structure for the effective operation of the Association and its branches. The Chairman promotes constructive debate and sound decision-making, ensuring that the members receive accurate, timely and clear information about the Associations development and performance.
The treasurer is the overseer of all aspects of financial management working to safeguard the Associations finances. The Treasurer is responsible for general financial oversight, planning and budgeting, financial reporting, banking and book keeping. The Treasurer will present accounts at the AGM, advise on the Associations reserves and prepare accounts for audit and liase with the Associations accountant.
